Located about 115 km south west of Melbourne at the northern end of the Great Ocean Road, the seaside town of Anglesea is situated between the coastal towns of Aireys Inlet and Torquay. The patrolled surfing and swimming beaches are surrounded by spectacular forests and coastal scenery. There are many beautiful sandy surf beaches along the coast line between Pt Roadknight and Anglesea River. Scenic locations along the coastline include the rocky Point Roadknight and Point Addis with the local Marine National Park overlooked by rugged sandstone cliffs. It is a popular launching place for hang gliders and surfing. Anglesea has a famous golf course where grey kangaroos graze on the fairways. Being set in bush land Anglesea has an amazing array of flora and fauna. There are many wonderful walking trails through the Angahook-Lorne State Park and the Coogoorah Park bushland reserve.
