Aramac is a small service town in Central West Region in Queensland located about 68 km north of Barcaldine, and 1,280 km from Brisbane, on Aramac Creek, which flows into the Thomson River. The major industry in Aramac is grazing and the town is famous for the Harry Redford (Captain Starlight ) Cattle Drive Re-enactment, a cattle duffing feat by a local bushranger, that is run annually from May to June. Visit the Harry Redford Interpretive Centre in the town centre for details. See the associated events including the Aramac Races, camping sites and cooking and various live entertainment.
