Avoca Beach is a fantastic holiday destination and weekend getaway on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It is one of a famous set of popular surfing beaches extending from MacMasters Beach to the Entrance. Avoca is a world-famous surfing spot attracting surfers from Sydney and Newcastle. The beach is patrolled during the summer months. The beach at Avoca extends between two prominent rocky headlands. It provides good surfing, safe swimming, fishing, windsurfing and is a great beach for the whole family to enjoy. The shores of Avoca Lake, located behind the beach, provide a good area for kids to play and for bushwalking. Cockrone Lagoon and MacMasters Beach are also popular family spots. Copacabana Beach just south of Avoca is another favourite patrolled surfing beach.
