- Where to Go, What to See and Do
Bribie Island, located about 70 km north of Brisbane is a major holiday centre for day-visitors, family-holiday makers and is paradise for beach goers, anglers, boating enthusiasts and sports enthusiasts, as the island has fantastic attractions and facilities including an excellent excellent golf course. Much of Bribie Island is a national park and it is separated from the mainland by Pumicestone Passage. Bribie Island`s main villages include Banksia beach, Bongaree, Bellara and Woorim on the Eastern shore. All these beaches are sheltered and are safe for families. There is an excellent jetty at Brennan Park (on Bongaree Beach) and further north along the beach there are two boat ramps. Both Bellara and Banksia Beach have boat ramps.
