It is located north Deception Bay, near where the Caboolture River flows into the bay, makes it ideal for fishing off the beach and in the river and bay, and for canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, boating and swimming. There are excellent boats ramps to the river and the bay itself, and you can hire boats in Beachmere. Families enjoy the sheltered beach and seeing the millions of soldier crabs walking on the mud flats at low tide. There is a marina and chandlery on the Caboolture River and a range of bayside accommodation.
