Beachport is located on the Limestone Coast, about 400 km south east of Adelaide. Beachport is an important fishing port and safe harbour for the local fishing trawlers and crayfish boats. It is also a lovely holiday spot with excellent facilities and a wide range of attractions and activities. Beachport has a very long jetty providing great fishing. There is also excellent fishing from the beach, shore and boat, as well as great surfing spots, scenic coastline, fantastic sandy beaches and safe swimming for the whole family. The nearby Lake George provides for a variety of water sports and is a favourite spot for bird watching as many wading birds use the area. The Beachport Conservation Park includes rugged limestone cliffs, secluded sandy beaches, and has some excellent bushwalking trails. There is a wide range of beautiful beachfront accommodation in Beachport and the surrounding towns.
