Berriedale is a suburb of Hobart located about 15 km north of the city centre in the Glenorchy area. It is located on the shores of the Berriedale Bay on the Derwent River. It is home to the world famous Moorilla Estate Winery, which is more than a major vineyard, it is an entertainment centre with tours, cellar-door tasting, regular concerts and many other events. Close by are the Cadbury Chocolate Factory, which has guided tours with tastings, and the Tasmanian Transport Museum. Berriedale is a wonderful and peaceful place to use as a base when holidaying in Hobart away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic.
