Bindoon is a delightful rural service centre and tourist town in the Perth Hills Region, Western Australia, located about 90 km north of Perth. Bindoon services a rich rural area predominantly focused on cattle and sheep grazing and growing various types of fruit. Bindoon is renowned for its famous display of magnificent wildflowers from September to October each year (Spring). There is an Army training area to the north-east. About 10 km south of Bindoon is Lake Chittering, which is a popular spot for boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming. There are many wineries in the area including the Briery Estate winery. About 80 km north of Bindoon is the fascinating monastery town of New with its Benedictine Monastery - which is open to visitors.
