Boddington is a small rural service and holiday town located about100 km south of Perth, 100 km east from Mandurah and 81 km west of Narrogin. Boddington lies on the banks of the Hotham River and is surrounded by rolling hills of forests and farms. It is a thriving farming and mining community that displays old fashioned country charm. About half of the land in the Boddington Shire is State Forest (predominantly marri and jarrah) - that is ideal for bushwalking, fishing, camping, picnics, birdwatching and enjoying the Spring wildflower displays. The caravan park on the banks of the Hotham River is a great place to stay as a base for exploring this wonderful area Boddington also has a wide range Farm Stays, hotel, motel bed and breakfast and holiday houses. Ranford Pool and Lions Weir on the Hotham River are popular spots for fishing, crayfishing (marron), birdwatching, BBQs and picnics.
