Boyanup is a small town in the Peel Region of Western Australia agricultural region, located about 18 km south-east of Bunbury and 200 km south of Perth. Boyanup is situated on the shores of the Preston River and is a large port and the major commercial centre for the region. The Yoganup North Mine mineral sands mine is located 5 km north-west of the town. Visit the intriguing Transport Museum. The Boyanup area has a wonderful range of attractions and great facilities for a wide range of activities including: sailing, canoeing, kayaking and boating, and some of the best fishing options in the South West. The crabbing and prawning in the estuary attracts many visitors to the area. The Preston River that meanders through Boyanup offers many interesting walking trails and picnic spots. The renowned Boyanup and Districts Farmers Markets, run on the 4th Sunday of each month is a great place to buy farm fresh produce straight from the grower and to taste the spirit of the local community.
