Boyne Valley - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Gladstone Region, QLD - Where to Go, What to See and Do

Listed Below are the Boyne Valley - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.

The Boyne Valley has spectacular natural beauty and boasts many natural areas and parks. The Boyne Valley lies between the Kroombit Range (including the spectacular Kroombit National Park) to the west and the Dawes Range (including the renowned Mount Castletower National Park) to the east. Boyne Valley includes four fascinating rural villages and tourist centres: Nagoorin, Builyan, Ubobo and Many Peaks. These towns were originally established as soldier settlements and towns supporting the local gold mining industry. The towns are now part of an attractive, interesting and thriving rural community in the Gladstone Hinterland that is well worth a visit. Currently, sawmilling and beef are the main industries, with dairying, irrigated crops and mining also important. The area has fantastic recreational opportunities with a network of National Parks and forests in the area for bushwalking, nature appreciation, bird watching and camping. Water based recreation is also well catered for with boating, canoeing, kayaking, various other water sports and fishing on the Boyne River and Awoonga Dam.
