Listed Below are the Branxholm - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.Branxholm is a former mining town located on the Tasman Hwy (A3) about 90 km north east of Launceston in the North East Region of Tasmania. Timber and agriculture industries and tourism are now the main industries, with the growing of hops being particularly important. Close to Branxholm is the picturesque Mt Horror which is known for its excellent scenic views and is surrounded by extensive pine and eucalyptus plantations. Historically interesting is the disused Mt Paris Dam and the Imperial Hotel (built in 1909). There is excellent fishing along the banks of the Ringarooma River, and there is a general store, tea rooms and excellent camping and other facilities at the Branxholm Caravan Park, which has offers caravan and camping facilities. There is a simple welcoming charm to Branxholm with the large Imperial Hotel offering a warm welcome to visitors. There is a fascinating historic graveyard where some of the early tin miners are buried.
