The sub-region produces some of the best quality grapes in the Hunter Valley area and boasts more than 70 Boutique vineyards, many of which have cellar doors for tastings. This is an ideal base for wine tours throughout this world-famous wine and vineyard region. The area is dotted with mostly smaller wineries where visitors can often chat with the local winemakers to discuss their boutique wines.
