Broulee is about 4 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra. Broulee has many attractions and good facilities for a wide range of recreational activities, including: just relaxing on the beach, walking, bushwalks, diving/snorkelling locations, fishing spots, swimming and great surfing. There are numerous surf schools where you can learn to surf. Pink Rocks off the northern side of the island is one of the best surfing spots in the Batemans Bay area. Kayaking and canoeing are also very popular around Broulee Island, which lies 100 metres south of North Broulee Beach and in Candlagan Creek, which is a beautiful lagoon with calm waters that is ideal for families and children.
