Budgewoi Lake is part of the extensive lake system of Tuggerah, Budgewoi and Munmorah Lakes, a boating, sailing, fishing and kayaking paradise which extends for more than 80km on the Central Coat of New South Wales. The lakes are isolated from the sea by a sand peninsula and the waters are sheltered from wind and waves. The lakes have great facilities for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating, sailing, water skiing and sail-boarding. Anglers have the wide variety of fish to target and a large range of spots to try both in the ocean and lakes. The species include blackfish, flounder, jewfish, bream, flathead, mullet, tailor and tarwhine as well as prawns and crabs. The National Parks and surrounding nature reserves in the area also provide for bushwalking, great nature-walks and relaxing on secluded baches. This is a great place for a family beachfront holiday with a huge range of recreational activities and attractions to suit all tastes.
