This is a wonderful place to explore, go bushwalking and enjoy eco-tour. The park has a beautiful coastline and long, sandy beaches backed by high spectacular sand dunes. To the north there are rugged granite peaks including Mt Atherton and The Peaks. The massive parabolic sand dunes extend 5 to 6 km inland from a scenic coastline. The park includes coastal heath, paperbark swamps, open woodlands and forests and also many rivers and streams fringed with mangroves and rainforest. Significant tidal wetlands are protected in the southern end of the park around Sandy Point. You can camp at three areas in the national and conservation park, but permits are required. Recreational fishing and boating is very popular and boats can be launched from the Sandy Point section. There is a boat ramp at Corbetts Landing for access to Waterpark Creek. Waterpark Eco Tours will take you on a magic journey aboard the Water Dance enjoying the amazing natural environment and on a horse drawn wagon through a fully working Tea Tree farm.
