Cams Wharf is a small holiday and weekend town situated on the south side of Lake Macquarie. It is close to Swansea and man other small towns and local area has excellent facilities for a wide range of recreational activities including fishing, sailing, boating, surfing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. There are some excellent surfing beaches in the vicinity, including Blacksmiths Beach and Caves Beach. You hire various types of sailing boats, fishing boats, houseboats and join a ferry cruise of the lake. There is a fantastic dive spot at Swansea Bridge, where remnants of the old bridge provide a haven for a variety of marine fauna. There are many other spots nearby for snorkelling ad scuba diving.
