The Cape Liptrap Coastal Park that stretches along the coast from Point Smythe to the calm waters of Waratah Bay, has beautiful scenery and many attractions and recreational activities on offer. Cape Liptrap is a narrow piece of land formed by the Hoddle Range where it juts out into sea. Cape Liptrap has a scenic lookout and a historic lighthouse. Waratah Bay has a safe swimming beach, a caravan park and an extensive network of walking tracks. The sheltered bay at Walkerville South has a safe swimming beach. Bear Gully has a camping area with picnic tables and parking. The wide range of activities in this area include: # Swimming at the open sandy beaches of Venus Bay, Walkerville and Waratah Bay # Camping is permitted in the park at Bear Gully but campers must be self sufficient and bring their own firewood. Camping facilities are also provided within caravan parks at Walkerville and Waratah Bay # Fishing and Boating - Recreational line fishing is popular from the beaches and rocks at Walkerville, in the calm waters of Anderson Inlet and on Venus Bay Beach. Boats can only be launched within the park from the beach at Walkerville. # Walking - there are many excellent bushwalking tracks in the area.
