Clifton Springs is a small coastal town located on northern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula, about 20 km east of Geelong, Victoria, in the centre of Corio Bay. Fairy Dell is a popular, secluded picnic spot with spectacular views across Port Phillip Bay. There is an array of wineries located off the road linking Portarlington and Drysdale. Clifton Springs was named after the mineral springs discovered in the area during 1870, that were closed after landslides, but were recently reopened. There is a boat harbour behind by a breakwater at the northern end of Jetty Road. Shopping facilities are available in neighbouring Drysdale inland to the south.
