Coochiemudlo Island is located in Moreton Bay in the Redland Shire of South-East Queensland, between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. The island has beautiful shallow beaches that are calm and sheltered from the swell of the South Pacific and are family favourites. You can easily reach Coochiemudlo Island by taking a short ferry trip from Victoria Point and the Queensland coast. Although `Coochie`, as it is called by the locals, is only 5 square km in size, it has about 4 km of beautiful safe sandy beaches, which are ideal for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Coochie has been called - the jewel of Moreton Bay, because of its distinctive red rock which makes it easily recognised when seen from the mainland. There is a wide range of attractions ad activities for visitors on Coochiemudlo Island.
