Cowley Beach is a secluded holiday spot and fishing destination located situated between Mourilyan Harbour and Kurrimine on the coast of North Queensland. Cowley Beach is renowned for its fantastic fishing with the beach and Liverpool Creek, the most popular areas. The target species are Barramundi, Mud crabs, bream, mangrove jack and flathead in the estuary. Upstream of the highway in the freshwater sections of the creek the major species are Grunter and Jungle Perch. A small tinnie with an outboard or a kayak or canoe are best for fishing in the river. The excellent boat ramp facilities at Cowley Beach, provides safe and easy access to the offshore Barnard Island Group. Cowley Beach has beautiful expanses of yellow sandy beach fringed with rainforest and palms. Sit back and relax and enjoy the view, peace and quiet on the warm sand under the shade of a palm tree.
