Creswick is the birthplace of the famous painter, Norman Lindsay, and you can see a wonderful display of his paintings at the Creswick Historical Museum. Visit Creswick Regional Park, which includes a host of trails through natural bushland, a 15-hectare koala park, picnic facilities, a maze and camp sites. Walk along the track that follows the shore of St George Lake, and see the diverse waterbirds and perhaps the shy platypus. You can also go trout fishing at the Tuki Trout farm, where your catch will be cooked and served to you. The mineral springs of Daylesford, the historic town of Clunes and the wonderful wineries of the Pyrenees are just a short drive away.
