Cue is a small town in the Outback of Western Australia, located about 650 km north-east of Perth in the Mid-West area. Cue was once the centre of the Murchison Goldfields which have long been mine-out. Recently Cue has re-jigged itself centre for history, tourism, culture and the arts in the Murchison area. It has a wonderful set of grandiose buildings from early gold-mining days that are heritage listed. The Murchison Chambers is a large stone building that was used by Cues professional men as a Gentlemans Club. In the area around Cue are many stunning Aboriginal rock art sites, the most popular being Walganna Rock, located about 50 km north of Cue which features a white sailing ship although Cue is 300km from the coast of Western Australia. Cue is a popular first day stopover spot for travellers on the Great Northern Highway. Major attractions at Cue include: # Historic Buildings - The Gentleman`s Club, The Masonic Lodge, The Old Gaol and the Government Buildings # Band Rotunda # The Murchison Chambers # Ruins of Cue Hospital # The Ruins of Day Dawn # Aboriginal Art - 69 km north of Cue are the red ochre deposits of Widgie Mia.
