The Devils Marbles are a spectacular collection of large, round, red-coloured boulders located in the Tennant Creek Region of the Northern Territory. They are granite rocks of volcanic origin eroded over the eons into the round shape and layout seen today. The largest boulders has a diameter of about 7 metres. The Devils Marbles Conservation Reserve is located on both sides of the Stuart Highway close to the town of Wauchope, about 400 kilometres north of Alice Springs, 115 kilometres south of Tennant Creek and 1100 kilometres south of Darwin.
