Drysdale is a small township about 30km east of Geelong, located on the Bellarine Peninsula. Drysdale is as a service town for the local farming community in the surrounding area, but Drysdale is close to a number surfing and swimming beaches, and to the boat harbour at Clifton Springs. Drysdale is a beautiful, picturesque place with many historic buildings, including the Drysdale Community Arts and the Old Courthouse Museum. You can take a train ride on the Bellarine Peninsula Railway to Queenscliff and then catch a ferry ride across the entrance of Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento and Portsea on the western tip of the Mornington Peninsula. The sandstone Coriyule homestead is the oldest surviving building on the peninsula. The road between Portarlington and Drysdale has many outstanding vineyards, many of which have cellar door outlet and restaurants.
