Dundee Beach is a seclude coastal location and popular fishing spot on the shores of Fog Bay, located about 120 kilometres south-west of Darwin in the Daly River Region. Dundee Beach is a popular weekend destination for Darwin locals, and there are a number of beach shacks in the area. You can enjoy fishing, kayaking, boating and long walks along the beach at sunset. There are a number of boat ramps providing access to Bynoe Harbour which yields good catches of barramundi, queenfish, snapper, trevally, blue and threadfin salmon, black jewfish, barracuda, mangrove jack, shark, grunter, cod and others. Beware estuarine crocodiles are common. The inlets and mangrove creeks have plenty of fish and some of the best crabbing in the Top End using pots and dilly nets.
