Edenhope is a small rural town, administrative centre and tourist destination close to Lake Wallace, located about 394 km north-west of Melbourne and 30 km east of the South Australian border. Edenhope supports the local rural community which focuses on wool, sheep and cattle grazing. Nearby is Lake Wallace, which is a bird sanctuary, and is very popular for boating, water skiers, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Harrow, which is renowned as the oldest inland town in Victoria is located about 30 km to the east and offers the change to see its many historic building and heritage displays. The Naracoorte Limestone Caves are located in the National Park, 50 km west of Edenhope. The main local event is the Henley-on-Lake Wallace Regatta held on the second weekend in February. There is a street procession and carnival associated with the regatta. Edenhope has excellent recreational and tourist facilities offering a wide range of attractions and activities for holiday makers and day-trip visitors to the region.
