It is a beautiful fishing holiday centre, located about 230 km from Adelaide. Anglers target yellow fin, mullet, whiting, and larger species of fish on the deep sea charter vessels based in the town. Fishing is popular from the shore, rocks, jetty and beaches. The beautiful beach at Sultana Point is great for kids and there is an excellent weather boat ramp and picnic facilities. The sandy beaches at Edithburgh are ideal for fishing, snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, kite surfing, sea kayaking and sail boarding. There are scenic BBQ and picnic facilities on the shoreline and the many fine coastal and historical bushwalks to enjoy. There is a Nature Reserve with many species of birds and mammals, and wonderful bushwalks. The 6km walk from Edithburgh to Coobowie has spectacular views, birdlife, offshore reefs and scenic lookouts. The nearby Troubridge Island Conservation Park has lovely sandy beaches that are ideal for swimming and diving.
