The area is the traditional home of the Jingili people and their name for the town is Kulumindini. Elliott is on the edge of the Elliot Station and is about 25 km from Elliot township located near the station`s homestead and at the junction of three important stock routes. You can enjoy fascinating guided tours along tracks in the Jim Rennie Memorial Park, that are run by the Elliott Council. These walks provide insight into the indigenous heritage of the area and the native flora and fauna.
