Fitzroy Crossing is a small rural and tourist service town in the magnificent Kimberley Region of Western Australia, located about 300 km west of Halls Creek, 400 km east of Broome and 2,500 km noth from Perth. It is a safe place to cross the huge Fitzroy River. Fitzroy Crossing is a small settlement that services local cattle stations and provides a stopover destination for tourists exploring the rugged Kimberley and its nearby attractions, or those en-route to the Bungle Bungles Purnululu National Park, or Darwin and Kununurra. Fitzroy Crossing is surrounded by wonderful local attractions including the beautiful Geikie Gorge, located about 15 km to the north and the unusual Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge which are in the local region.
