The charming and secluded holiday destination of Forrest Beach, which is also called Allingham, is located about 15 km east of Ingham. The beautiful beach appears to go on forever and has scenic views of Palm Island group and Orpheus Island. Forrest Beach has a stinger net for protection during the summer months it is patrolled by local lifesavers. The beach is a famous fishing spot. Forrest Beach is small but has a range of places to stay including self-contained units, a hotel/motel, caravan park and many holiday houses and flats. There are also a group of local shops for supplies.
