For tourists Genoa is the gateway on the rugged and spectacular East Gippsland coast with easy access to Gipsy Point and Mallacoota. From Genoa there is a bushwalking trail leading into the magnificent Croajingolong National Park along the Wingan Nature Walk, which required about one and a half hours to complete. From the start at the camping reserve the track passes through stands of melaleucas, swamp paper-barks, bloodwoods and wild cherry trees.
