The local councils of Oberon, Lithgow, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains, have combined to display the attractions and facilities of the region for holiday makers, travellers and tourists. The Grand Circular Tourist Drive shows the wide range of walks and activities within the area. Glenbrook is the gateway to the Blue Mountains National Park. Glenbrook has excellent swimming spots including: The Jelly Bean Pool and the renowned Blue Pool. The blue appearance is produced by suspended clay particles that refract the light. This location has been the inspiration of many poems. Glenbrook Gorge features great rock climbing, swimming and spectacular bush walks. You can visit Nepean Lookout, Tunnel View Lookout or Pisgah Rock. There is excellent abseiling from Mount Portal on the southern face of Glenbrook Gorge. The Glenbrook to Woodford Track is one of many classic mountain bike tracks in the area. Elizabeth Lookout and Marges Lookout can be accessed via walking tracks. Craft markets are held in the Glenbrook Community Hall once a month. The Blue Mountains Creative Arts Centre Gallery is open on weekends.
