Goondiwindi`s twin town of Boggabilla is situated on the New South Wales side of the border. Most of the district is farmland with rural activities based on wool and beef production and also sorghum, cotton, corn, wheat, barley and chickpeas. Goondiwindi boasts a large articifial water park, which when filled provides for water skiing, sailing, boating, swimming. Boobera Lagoon is a permanent water hole to the west of the town. Goondiwindi also has a very active sporting community and a large indoor gymnasium. Goondiwindi and district has a wonderful array of hotels, motels, cafes and restaurants and many attractions and tourist facilities.
