- Where to Go, What to See and Do

Listed Below are the Greenbushes - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.
Greenbushes is an historic timber and mining town located about 17 km from Bridgetown and 250 km south of Perth. It is also a service centre for tourism and farming. Greenbushes began as a mining town in 1888 after tin was discovered in 1886 and the town boomed until 1893. There are many historic buildings to visit and the area has wonderful natural areas with spectacular wildflower displays, towering Jarrah forests and natural and man-made lakes. Visitors can explore these natural environments along the various walk trails (including the Annual Discovery Wattle Walk). You can also see the open cut mine and experience the life as an underground miner at the Greenbushes Discovery Centre. Local attractions include: # The Geegelup Heritage Trail, which covers Bridgetown-Greenbushes District including the site of one of the early mines and the excellent Greenbushes Historical Park. You can also visit the Whittaker's Timber Mill and the Greenbushes Tin Mine.
