Greenwell Point is located 15km east of Nowra and is renowned for its fresh fishing, fishing and especially for its fresh oysters. Greenwell Point is and angling and seafood paradise and is also a favourite boating location. Off the coast lies the Sir John Young Banks fishing grounds and other reefs and sandbanks and many visitors launch their boats for fishing trips. There are excellent launching ramps and boat charter facilities available with access to the estuary and ocean. Greenwell Point has excellent facilities and attractions including a general stores, service station, cafes, restaurants, seafood outlets, newsagency, motor mechanic, quality butcher, video hire, hairdresser and real estate agent. Bass anglers can try fishing in the upper reaches of the Shoalhaven west of Nowra Bridge using lures or live prawns.
