Hallidays Point is a quiet, relaxed seaside holiday town; about 15km drive from both Forster and Taree, with a great surfing beach and a good ocean rock pool for swimming. The famous surf at Blackhead Beach and the good fishing in the area have made Hallidays Point a very popular holiday destination in the Manning Valley. There are excellent bushwalks between Red Head and Black Head promontories, featuring scenic coastal landforms and littoral rainforest remnants. The township at Hallidays Point has a post office and a shopping centre, and many excellent places to stay near the main beach and in the region. Many of the popular beaches are protected by regular surf patrols.
