There are excellent bushwalks between Red Head and Black Head promontories, featuring scenic coastal landforms and littoral rainforest remnants. The township at Hallidays Point has a post office and a shopping centre, and many excellent places to stay near the main beach and in the region. Many of the popular beaches are protected by regular surf patrols.
