Also close by is the Wolfe Creek Crater, which the second largest meteorite crater in the world. Tours of the Bungle Bungles and the Wolfe Creek Crater and are available from Halls Creek. Locally you can fossick at the site of the first gold rush in Western Australia in 1885. Visitors can still find gold in the Halls Creek area, especially around the old town site which is 16 m east of Halls Creek and also features historic buildings and a small cemetery.
