Harrietville is surrounded by Alpine National Park and is located in the Alpine Valleys Wine Region and there are some excellent wineries nearby. Harrietville is just a short drive from the major ski resort of Mount Hotham which offers excellent skiing in winter and a variety of summer activities as well.
