Hawley Beach is a seaside resort town in the North Central Region of Tasmania, located about 22 km from Devonport and close to Port Sorrell, Squeaking Point and Shearwater. Hawley Beach is renowned for its excellent beach, the local plovers, its minute red sand crabs and the excellent fishing in the area. You can explore the foreshore reserves, go swimming, kayaking, surfing and fishing on the beaches, simply laze in the sun or enjoy a round of golf. Nearby Narawntapu National Park has diverse wildlife and there are other conservation areas in the Port Sorell Conservation Area and charming bushland reserves at Port Sorell and Hawley Beach. Take the short drive to Latrobe and you can explore the antique shops and taste the fine, locally-made chocolates and cheeses.
