Holloways Beach is an ideal base to stay from which you can explore all the attractions an activities of the beach and reef the fabulous hinterland areas on the Atherton Tablelands and the wonderful recreational and entertainment facilities in Cairns. The beach is spectacular and very scenic and is lined with coconut palms. A stinger net is installed from October to May to provide safe swimming throughout the year. There is a Tourist Resort overlooking the beach, a Balinese Style Hideaway and numerous bed and breakfasts, villas, home units and houses available for holiday accommodation. The beach has beautiful grass areas and a shaded foreshore with excellent picnic and BBQ facilities, and there is a public amenities block for visitors with toilets and showers. Visit the Holloways Beach Markets which are run on the foreshore on the 2nd Sunday of each Month. Holloways Beach is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the city of Cairns.
