Two thirds of Magnetic Island is protected as National Park and there are wonderful bushwalks and scenic tracks all around the island. Views from the roads and well designed walking tracks are renowned as some of the most spectacular in the world. You will often see Koalas in the trees beside the tracks and a visit to the local wildlife sanctuary should be on your agenda. Rock wallabies are also common on the island.
