Jurien Bay in an attractive waterfront crayfishing and holiday town in the Mid West Region of Western Australia, located about 270 km north of Perth. The waters of Jurien Bay are sheltered by a chain of islands and reefs just off the coast. The township of Jurien Bay lies on low lying sand ridges beside the beach and features a collection of delightful holiday cottages that are ideal for a holiday. The white beaches are long and sandy, the water teems with fish and there are islands and offshore reefs just waiting to be dived on and explored. Snorkelling and diving is this area very popular with excellent conditions and a variety of locations including, limestone reefs and caves, colourful sponges and a huge variety of fish. Join a cruise boat or a fishing charter to see the dolphins, sea lions, seals, and whales. Lesuer National Park, which boasts scenic walks and wildlife, is just 30 minutes from the town. Jurien Bay Marine Park is a good place to see whales migrating along the coast. In Spring, the 900 species of native plant species in the area, make Jurien one of the best places to enjoy the wildflower displays. A short drive north is Sandy Cape Recreational Park a wonderful campsite with great swimming, coastal walks and beach fishing.
