There is a spectacular scenic lookout with easterly views over Kalorama Park and beyond to the Silvan Reservoir. At this spot are the Five Ways Art Gallery, a great cafe, and many bushwalking and mountain biking tracks in the Ellis Jeeves Reserve and Kalorama Park. Another place to visit is the Karwarra Australian Plant Garden which features beautiful landscaped botanic gardens, native wildflowers, bush walking tracks, floral displays, and abundant birdlife and picnic areas. Kalorama has a variety of cafes and peaceful bed and breakfast retreats and other stylish accommodation in secluded locations along the forest roads. The nearby Dandenong Ranges National Park (over 3000 ha) is a very popular and attractive place to explore. It offers excellent sightseeing, bushwalking, picnicking, bird-watching, nature observation and car touring.
