It is located in the Pilbara Region and features rugged, red outcrops, sheer gorges, beautiful scenery, waterfalls and spectacular secluded swimming holes. The Karijini National Park is best visited by taking a four wheel drive tour, from Perth or one of the Regional centres. You can also fly to Karratha, Exmouth or Broome to join an organised tour, or hire a vehicle and drive yourself with a tag-along group. The park has a network of wonderful walk trails of varying levels of difficulty, that take you into deep subterranean gorges and to waterfalls and sparkling rock pools. There are wonderful picnic areas and designated camping sites within the park. Call in at the newly Karijini Visitor Centre for information and see various nature and heritage displays.
