Karragarra Island is the smallest of the delightful vacation islands in Moreton Bay with a small permanent population and great recreational facilities an attractions. It is a quiet and secluded place to visit in a wonderful environment. There are few shops or retail facilities on the island, which helps to maintain the island`s peace and quiet. There are some public facilities for visitors and holiday makers to enjoy. Karragarra Island has a wonderful beach with an excellent jetty that is popular for fishing and mooring yachts and motor boats. The beach is located in a scenic area with an enclosed swimming area. There is a park and free electric BBQs and sheltered picnic tables. There are fantastic bushwalks on the island through the rainforest, or you can stroll along the esplanade. There is also an artist`s studio and a local historical museum.
