Kilcunda is a holiday favourite seaside town, located about 120 km southeast from Melbourne, between Phillip Island and Wonthaggi. Kilcunda offers excellent fishing, swimming and surfing beaches and s an ideal holiday destination. You can enjoy the spectacular scenery by taking George Bass Coastal Walk along the clifftops from Kilcunda to San Remo. The nearby Powlett River estuary has extensive wetlands and salt marches and is a great place for fishing and bird watching. Kilcunda has a wide range of attractions and recreational activities including: cycling; hangliding; kite surfing; beach, shore and boat fishing; canoeing and kayaking; surfing; swimming; windsurfing; tennis and bushwalking. The Kilcunda Lobster Festival held in January includes: Activities include kids activities, an animal farm, helicopter rides, emergency service demonstrations and displays, live bands and line dancing, food and drink stalls, a market and lots of lobsters for sale at the restaurants and cafes and to take home.
