The most notable landmarks in Kimba are the huge wheat silos and the 8m high statue of the Big Galah. You can explore the fascinating `Half Way Across Australia` Gemshop which has a wide range of Australian Gemstones including locally mined Cowell Jade. The Kimba and Gawler Ranges Museum has many historical artifacts from the pioneering days of Kimba and the surrounding district. The Sturt Pea Shoppe is of special interest as it is Kimba`s Tourist Information Centre. Kimba is the gateway to the Gawler Ranges which mark the boundary between the Eyre Peninsula and the rugged dry desert areas of Central Australia. Closer to Kimba are the Pinkawillinie and Lake Gilles Conservation Parks and to the south west are Carrapee Hill, Caralue Bluff and Dark Peake. These areas feature wild flowers, native birds and diverse Australian wildlife.
