Kioloa is located on the south coast about halfway between Ulladulla and Batemans Bay. Kioloa offers a quiet place for an enjoyable and relaxing family holiday on the beach with many holiday activities and great facilities. Kioloa Beach is sheltered from the ocean swells by Belowla Island, and offers great surfing, snorkelling, swimming, windsurfing and diving. There is excellent fishing from headlands, beach, rocks and boat. An excellent boat ramp is located at the southern end of the beach. There is a lovely caravan van park and the small store opposite the park provides basic supplies including food, ice, fast food, petrol, gas, bait and tackle, and much more. Kioloa State Forest and Murramarang National Park are close to Kioloa Beach and provide opportunities for picnicing, BBQs, bushwalking, horse riding, and exploring the bush habitats. The Australian National University has a museum and research station nearby. Pigeon House Mountain provides great scenery and a very challenging climb through a great diversity of habitats: rainforest, eucalypt forest, coastal heath and Casuarina woodland. The local rock-platforms at Kioloa are among the best on the South Coast.
