Lady Elliot Island is one of only a handful of Barrier Reef Island with holiday resorts. The Island lies 80 km north east of Bundaberg, and there are daily flights and ferry cruises to the island. Lady Elliot Island is one of only three Barrier Reef islands with direct flight access and airstrips. Tour the reef in a glass bottomed boat, take scuba diving lesson, feed the fish, go on a fishing charter cruise, take a guided reef stroll. The water is always sparkling clear and you may see turtles, dolphins and monster manta rays. If you visit at the right time of the year you may see birds nesting, turtles laying eggs and hatching or migrating humpback whales.
